The Plastic Constellations - Mazatlan

This city's beautiful
And summer's so brand new to you
It's getting through to you
Then winter comes on like a funeral
And we're trudging through the week again
These small towns are stomping grounds
And all our friends are college-bound
And no one's calling now
We never spent spring break in Mazatlan
I'm feeling cheated and misleaded

But it's cool though, 'cause every girl that you know
Came back with some sunburn and some cornrows

But after the fall we'll get away from it all, again

We're dreaming of the cashflows,
And flying international
It's so irrational
When scraping by's never felt so fashionable
So I'm praying for that Powerball
This city's still beautiful
And we're all up to the usual
Just getting through to you
Then winter comes on like a funeral
We're just trudging through the streets again

When you sort it out you got a lot left going,
You gotta sort it out
'Cause I know and you know we got a lot left
When you sort it out you gotta stop and just floor it,
You gotta sort it out
'Cause I know and you know we got a lot left
When you sort it out you gotta stop and explore it,
You gotta sort it out
'Cause I know and you know we got a lot left going
